The world of books

Books to the ceiling, Books to the sky, My pile of books is a mile high. How I love them! How I need them! I’ll have a long beard by the time I read them.

Well, the above sentence quoted by Arnold Lobel perfectly describes my love towards the enchanting world of novels.

Reading is such a pleasurable activity that enables you to live a thousand lives, travel a million places and meet innumerable people.

It engages you, feeds you and nourishes you.It helps you visit those dark corners of mind which you would have never known but for the books. It opens up new windows to life.

You just get lost in them. You actually lose yourself in the process and there emerges a new you, a better you.Sitting there on your couch or your arm-chair, you are traveling unseen, untrodden places of this mystic earth.

You become a part of the book. You weep with the character, rejoice at their happiness and when the end comes you become sad to lose a cherished friend.

Well such is the world of books.
Exciting, isnt”t it?

  1. There’s nothing like embarking on adventure with the book in your hands, takes you to places all the while you are comfortable on your chair. Only a book in your hands could give that feeling right 🙂
